Please find below a number of our recently completed projects:
House Extension - Wistow, Cambridgeshire
Our client has teenage children with enough bedrooms but insufficient living space on the ground floor, so a large single storey kitchen was built on the side of the house with the existing kitchen being converted to a dining room. This allowed the old lounge/diner to become a large living area. The existing garage was reduced in size to accommodate a ground floor guest/day room with en-suite facilities. The pictures above show the project as work in progress. Completion pictures to follow.
New Garages and Garden Machinery Store
We were approached to provide a garden machinery and car store within the grounds of a large Edwardian Manor House. The brief was to build a structure with the appearance of a traditional barn. Modern construction methods disguised with handmade hardwood doors, black feather edge boarding and natural slate to the roof satisfied both the aesthetic and practical requirements of our client.TMK were involved from design stage and this spacious building is able to house 6 vehicles with extensive storage space in the attic.
Commercial Bed & Breakfast Accommodation
In 2010 we were awarded the contract to carry out the refurbishment in this local traditional brick built house. The proprietor was keen to update the existing bedrooms and en-suites as a part of his ongoing upgrade scheme. We produced various design options in house and, with client consultation, final drawings were approved. A very unsympathetic stud wall was removed to restore one room to its original proportions.Other works included replacement of sanitaryware with the installation of new wall and floor tiling to the en-suites. Purpose made joinery was produced to match existing that had deteriorated beyond repair. The electrical installation was upgraded in each room to meet current standards and each room was decorated to a high standard.
Riding Stables, Yard, All Weather Menage and Fencing
This project involved the construction of a stable block, comprising three stables and a large tack room with separate drying room. Hot and cold running water was provided with heating and additional storage. We installed a large concrete yard area incorporating drainage and fencing. Fenced paddocks and an Olympic sized all weather-riding arena completed the project.
Gladwins Body Repair Shop - Head Office
Due to the growth of this local business head office facilities were transferred to a new location in Peterborough. Although the 'shell' of the building was in place extensive work was required to accommodate the office facilities and a new production area. A mezzanine floor was added together with new offices canteen and toilet facilities. Three large commercial vehicle spraying ovens and spraying booths were installed, a cleaning bay and work stations were also established with compressed air and electrical services to each.
